Exactly one year ago, the Dynamo Dresden home jersey, created in cooperation with MEISSEN, was unveiled. The response was overwhelming. Celebrated throughout the region, admired across Germany, and even recognized internationally, the jersey quickly became the best-selling shirt in the 73-year history of the second-division club.
But what makes this jersey so special? How did two seemingly different worlds—White Gold and professional football—come together to tell one compelling story? And what does Dynamo Stadium have to do with porcelain artistry?
On this special family tour, visitors will venture into the production areas of Europe’s first porcelain manufactory and discover fascinating places within MEISSEN, including the slip preparation facility, the mould archive, and the kiln hall—locations where the secrets behind this extraordinary collaboration are waiting to be revealed. For the first time, the manufactory will also open the doors to its underglaze painting studio. Here, with a steady hand, exceptional precision, and delicate brushstrokes, the iconic Onion Pattern comes to life.
Another intriguing question remains: what role does the Meissen Fortune Dragon play in this remarkable partnership?
The grand finale takes place at the Museum of the Meissen Porcelain Foundation, featuring the special exhibition *“Art Meets the Stands”* (“Kunst trifft Kurve”), interactive activities, exclusive surprises, and a major prize draw. Children can discover masterful craftsmanship, connect with their favourite football club, and become part of this unique jersey story themselves.
